Michigan Renewable Energy Program to Hold Solar Meeting in Ann Arbor

The Michigan Renewables Energy Program (MREP) will hold a solar committee meeting on Monday, Oct. 13, in Ann Arbor.  The public is invited to attend.

The meeting will feature presentations on the Ann Arbor Solar Cities Program; Michigan's solar energy industry value chain; solar energy industry policy and program activities; the financial benefits of photovoltaic systems for residential customers and their utility company; and a summary of Michigan's new energy laws.

The meeting will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum (Legacy Gallery, 2nd Floor), located at 220 E. Ann Street.

The Michigan Renewables Energy Program (MREP) was established by the legislature, and implemented by the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC), to promote the use of renewable energy in the state.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Labor & Economic Growth.
