MPSC Seeks Public Comments on Net Metering Program

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today said it is seeking public comments on the net metering program, as provided for in Section 173(1) of Public Act 295 of 2008.

This section of the Act directs the MPSC to establish a statewide net metering program no later than 180 days after its effective date.

Comments may be e-mailed to mpscedockets@michigan.gov .  Written comments should be mailed to the Executive Secretary, Michigan Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 30221, Lansing, MI 48909.  All comments should reference Case No. U-15803 and must be received by 5 p.m. on Nov. 3.  All information submitted to the Commission in this matter will become public information, available on the Commission's Web site, and subject to disclosure.   

The MPSC notes that all recommendations for the program should be consistent with the provisions of Part 5 of the Act.
