The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) is offering employers across the state an opportunity to offer a Down Payment Assistance program to benefit to their employees. Employers save money, increase employee retention and promote a positive community environment.
WHAT IS EMPLOYER ASSISTED HOUSING?
Employer assisted housing is a creative way to attract and retain quality employees, while at the same time promoting city neighborhoods. These programs provide qualified employees the opportunity to obtain financial assistance and access below market interest rate financing.
AN ECONOMIC WIN FOR THE COMMUNITY
Employees benefit by living closer to their work. Reduced commute times often result in increased productivity and less absenteeism.
Employees and employers want to be located in quality neighborhoods. An Employer Assisted Housing Program can help revitalize these areas.
Affordable housing and stable, revitalized neighborhoods are key factors in an employer's ability to attract and retain employees.
