The pier was removed by the Department of Natural Resources staff and transported to the Baldwin Field Office for repairs in December of 2006.
These are before and after photos of the Williams Island skid pier and boat launch in Idlewild, Michigan that is being repaired by the Department of Natural Resources. Additional repair steps include installation of bumper pads and ropes to the dock and laying a new concrete boat ramp before returning the dock to the Lake Idlewild. This is one small but very important step toward revitalization of this historic community. The repairs are scheduled to be complete for the beginning of the 2007 boating season.
