The Performanced Based Contract Administration (PBCA) administers approximately 33,000 units with families that live in rental housing owned, insured, or subsidized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). To ensure that these families have housing that is decent, safe, sanitary and in good repair, the Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) conducts physical inspections on selected properties each year.
