December 30, 2008 - New Trooper Proposes to Girlfriend Following Graduation

John Buehler proposes to girlfriend Katie Bucrek LANSING. As new trooper John Buehler embarks on his career with the Michigan State Police (MSP), he also finds himself gearing up for a journey down the aisle after proposing to his girlfriend following his graduation from the 121st Trooper Recruit School on Dec. 19, 2008.

Buehler, who hails from Dexter, proposed to his girlfriend, Katie Bucrek, immediately following the graduation ceremony that was held at the Lansing Center in Lansing, Mich.

Buehler began work at the Paw Paw Post on Dec. 22.
