Lansing, Michigan – F/Lt. Charles Loader, of the Michigan State Police Emergency Management Division is a recent graduate of the 221st session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy.
Loader was one of two hundred and forty-nine law enforcement officers who graduated from the academy at Quantico, Virginia. This session consisted of men and women from 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, 24 international countries, three military organizations, and four Federal civilian organizations.
Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy Program, held at the FBI Academy in Quantico Virginia, offers 10 weeks of counterterrorism, media relations, organizational management, legal issues and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies.
Loader is the commander of the Homeland Security Section within the Emergency Management Division. The section serves as the focal point for managing intra- and inter-departmental homeland security initiatives, as well as coordinating administration of federal grant programs with the Office for Domestic Preparedness, state agencies, and local jurisdictions.
A native of Hillsdale, Loader and his wife, Sherrie reside in DeWitt. They have two children, Tim and Elizabeth.
A total of 38,239 graduates now represent the FBI National Academy since it began in July 1935. Of this number, approximately 23,147 are still active in law enforcement work.
