The Michigan Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force started November with three arrests of child predators across the state. 

On Nov. 1, a U.S. Secret Service agent assigned to the ICAC Task Force assisted the Toledo Police Department with the arrest of a subject from Allen Park who had been communicating with an undercover Toledo officer he believed was a minor child.  Lee Howard Cox II, DOB 2/22/1960, traveled to Livonia after being advised the 13-year-old intended victim would be visiting the area.  Cox was arraigned in U.S. District Court on coercion and enticement charges.

Later that day, the ICAC Task Force assisted with a Macomb Area Computer Enforcement (MACE) Team investigation involving a Northville resident who traveled to a pre-arranged meeting location in Macomb County for the purposes of sex with a minor child.  Dennis William Delaney, DOB 12/11/1970, was arrested and charged with child sexually abusive activity and using a computer to commit a crime.

The final arrest of the day occurred in Plainview Township near Rockford.  Varinder Singh Multani, DOB 2/10/1959, was arrested after using a computer to communicate child sexually abusive activity with an undercover detective from the Muskegon City Police Department.  Multani was arraigned on Nov. 2, in the 63^rd District Court in Rockford and was given a $50,000 cash bond. 

Officers across southwest Michigan, including the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department and Fruitport Township Police, which are affiliated with the ICAC Task Force, continue to work diligently in seeking out potential child predators as part of a new task force concept on Michigan's west side.

Tom Kish of the Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit.  "With highly trained and experienced local and county agencies working with computer crimes units in Oakland, Macomb and Wayne Counties, in addition to the Michigan Attorney General's High Tech Crime Investigative Team, we are making an impact on this growing problem statewide."

The Michigan ICAC Task Force has a diverse representation of partners, including officers from the U.S. Secret Service, FBI, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, MSP, Midland Police Department, Lansing Community College Department of Public Safety, Bellaire Police Department, Kentwood Police Department, Muskegon Police Department, Muskegon Township Police Department, Livonia Police Department, Troy Police Department, New Baltimore Police Department, Fruitport Township Police Department, Ottawa County Sheriff's Department, Livingston County Sheriff's Department, Kent County Sheriff's Department, Ingham County Sheriff's Department, Monroe County Sheriff's Department and Kalkaska County Sheriff's Department.
