Lapeer Native Promoted to Motor Carrier Sergeant

Richmond.  The Michigan State Police has announced the promotion of Motor Carrier Officer Daniel J. Engelman to Sergeant at the Richmond Post.

 

As Sergeant at the Richmond Post, Engelman is responsible for providing leadership in the Motor Carrier Division operations, and overseeing programs for commercial vehicle transportation.  As part of his duties, Engelman will supervise the daily activity of six Motor Carrier Officers and one School Bus Inspector.

 

Engelman enlisted with the State Police on May 22, 1989, graduating as a member of the 7th Motor Carrier Recruit School.  In his 14-year career, he has served at the New Baltimore, Pontiac, Groveland, and Lapeer posts.

 

A native of Lapeer, he and his wife Donna currently live in Lapeer with their three children.
