SANE is a multijurisdictional drug task force comprised of one team of investigative officers that target the arrest and detection of drug traffickers at all levels within our coverage area. SANE also assists departments within its coverage area to investigate violent crimes and gang related activity. The jurisdictions covered by SANE are: Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Chippewa, Emmet, Mackinac, and Otsego Counties. Participating agencies include Charlevoix County Sheriff’s Department, Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department, Michigan State Police, and Sault Ste. Marie City Police Department.
