Aviation Unit The Michigan State Police Aviation Unit provides essential aviation support to all Michigan law enforcement agencies and to the citizen community at large.
Canine Unit The Michigan State Police, Canine Unit has a long and distinguished history that dates back to 1960 when Tpr. Richard Abbott and his dog "Jocko" became the first official canine team to serve the department.
Field Support and Aviation Section
Field Support and Aviation Section which includes the Canine Unit, Aviation Unit, Emergency Support Team and the Underwater Recovery Unit.
Operations
The MSP Operations Center is a 24-hour-a-day command and control center.
Underwater Recovery Unit
This unit was created in 1957. The unit provides diving expertise for the department, most generally in the areas of body recovery, evidence collection and recovery of stolen property.
