This course provides training on and resources for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS).
The target audience for this course is senior personnel who are expected to perform in a management capacity in an Area Command or Multiagency Coordination Entity. This course expands upon information covered in the ICS-100, ICS-200, and ICS-300 courses.
The course goals are as follows:

Explain how major incidents engender special management challenges.

Describe the circumstances in which an Area Command is established.

Describe the circumstances in which multiagency coordination systems are established.
This course is Department of Homeland Security (DHS) accepted and applicable for the use of DHS grant funds.
The Michigan Center for Public Health Preparedness (
MI-CPHP
), a CDC-funded training center, will be offering scholarships to public health professionals who wish to complete this training. Scholarships will include the cost of standard tuition. Additional expenses related to overnight accommodations will not be covered through this funding source. To request MI-CPHP funding support for this training activity, enter "MICPHP grant" in the Billing section of the registration form under "Other". Funding requests are not guaranteed and will be based on appropriateness of application and availability of funding
