Persons interested in applying for a position as a State Police Trooper 10 or a Motor Carrier Officer 9 should complete the Entry-Level Law Enforcement Examination Application available from the Michigan Civil Service Commission in either a PDF or Word format. Completed applications may be e-mailed to MCSC-BHRS@michigan.gov, or sent via fax or mail to either:

The examination evaluates the skills, knowledge and abilities related to critical elements of law enforcement positions. It consists of three video based sections: Human Interaction, Reading Ability and Incident Observation Report Writing.

All applicants will be notified of an examination date and location within approximately three weeks.

A practice test is available for purchase at www.frontlinetest.com.
