Provide training to all disciplines of homeland security and emergency management to continue strengthening Michigan's capabilities to prepare for, respond to and recover from potential threats. This three-day conference, being held April 30-May 2, is expected to bring together more than 1,000 individuals from the public and private sectors, including all levels of government, emergency management, law enforcement, fire, emergency medical services, public health and healthcare, security officers and school administrators.
Focusing on "Pride in Service," this year's conference pays tribute to the dedicated work of homeland security professionals and the important role all individuals play in protecting our communities against all threats and hazards. The agenda encompasses a wide-array of topics, including proactive school security planning, creating a cyber security program, emergency healthcare credentialing, smart phones as mobile toolboxes and lessons learned from Hurricane Sandy. In addition, more than 30 exhibitors will be showcasing new products and services in the realm of homeland security. Additional information about the conference is available at www.michigan.gov/emhsd.
