State Emergency Operations Center Activated Due to Flooding

The State of Michigan has activated the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) today, June 23, due to flooding and severe weather in Isabella and Midland counties.

State Police Announce 'Summer of Semi Safe D' Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Operation

In an effort to reduce commercial vehicle crashes and deaths, Michigan State Police (MSP) motor carrier officers are participating in a summer long enforcement operation dubbed ‘Summer of Semi Safe D.’ Special attention will be paid to semi-tractor trailers as they were involved in 72 percent of the 2016 deadly accidents involving a commercial motor vehicle.


133rd Trooper Recruit School Begins; Largest Class of Prospective Troopers Since 2000

This week, 159 prospective state troopers started the first of 26 weeks of training at the Michigan State Police (MSP) Training Academy in Lansing.
