Lakeview Post Trooper Receives Meritorious Service Award

Contact:  F/Lt. Andrea Nerbonne, Lakeview Post, (989) 352-8444
Agency: State Police

D/Sgt. Jacquelyn Stasiak

LANSINGAt a special ceremony in Lansing, Michigan State Police (MSP) Director Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue presented D/Sgt. Jacquelyn Stasiak of the Lakeview Post with the MSP Meritorious Service Award for her professionalism and diligence and for going beyond what is typically expected of most law enforcement officers.

Stasiak was recognized for her work on a two-year investigation that led to the arrest of two scam artists planning to kidnap and steal approximately $450,000 from a vulnerable adult. Her investigation led to one suspect being sentenced to more than 30 years in federal prison, and the other suspect being charged as well.

In presenting Stasiak with the Meritorious Service Award, the MSP Board of Awards acknowledges her diligence and exemplary service that brought this case to justice.

Stasiak enlisted with the department in 1993, graduating as a member of the 108th Trooper Recruit School. She has served at the Rockford, Ionia, and Lakeview posts.
