The Speed Measurement Unit of the Michigan State Police Traffic Services Section oversees the radar, lidar, & in-car video programs for the department.  This includes equipment contracts, repairs, purchases, and officer training throughout the state.

The Unit also maintains the radar and lidar certificate database distributing replacement certificates to agencies throughout the state upon request.
