The Grants Management Section of the Michigan State Police is responsible for administering federal criminal justice grants in the state of Michigan, including the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (Byrne JAG) and the Residential Substance Abuse Treatment for State Prisoners (RSAT) Grant.
In addition, the Grants Management Section spearheads the Michigan Methamphetamine Control Strategy and the State Methamphetamine Task Force. The section is also involved in various other criminal justice related initiatives and efforts throughout the state.

A key goal of this program is to promote cooperation between retailers and law enforcement to prevent the diversion of legitimate products for illegal use.
