The Michigan State Police Forensic Science Division is a network of seven regional laboratories strategically located to serve both the urban and rural communities of the Great Lakes State. The following is a list of our current facilities:
Our laboratories provide Forensic Science services in the following disciplines*:
- Controlled Substances Analysis
- Crime Scene Response
- Latent Prints
- Trace Evidence/Questioned Documents
* Not all laboratories directly provide all the services listed.
Our laboratories maintain accreditation through the American Society of Crime Lab Directors/Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB), via the ASCLD/LAB-International program. This program mandates continued compliance with both the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard and the ASCLD/LAB-International Supplemental Requirements.
The scope of the accreditation of our laboratories can be found on the ASCLD/LAB web site
