Chris Etienne, Chair - Michigan Women's CommissionChris Etienne, Chair, Petoskey, is community relations director for Bay Harbor Company and associate broker for Harbor Sotheby's International realty.  She is on the boards of Bay Harbor Foundation, Northwest Michigan Industrial Association and North Central Michigan College Foundation.  She is active in Rotary International, having served as a district governor in 2007-2008 and is currently serving as a Rotary Cooridnator for districts that include part of Michigan, Ontario, Ohio, Pennslvania, Maryland, West Virginia and New York.

 

 

Kathleen Vogelsang, Vice Chair, Michigan Women's CommissionKathleen Vogelsang, CFA, Vice-Chair, Ada, is director/chief investment officer of the Van Andel Institute in Grand Rapids. She is on the boards of Michigan Gift of Life, Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park, and Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services.

 

 

 

 

Joanne Dawley, DDS - Michigan Women's CommissionJoanne Dawley, DDS, Northville, owns a private dental practice. She has held leadership roles in the National Dental Association, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and the Detroit District Dental Society.

 

 

 

 

 

Meg Wheeler Derrer, Michigan Women's CommissionMeg Wheeler Derrer, Grand Rapids, is AVP of marketing and communication for Aquinas College. She is a board member of Ronald McDonald House of Western Michigan and a 2014 graduate of Leadership Grand Rapids.

 

 

 

 

 

Jan Peabody Doty, Michigan Women's CommissionJan Peabody Doty, Lapeer, is a supervisor of medical management for McLaren Health Plan in Flint. She is a fellow of the 2010 Michigan Political Leadership Program, and  a board member of the Greater Lapeer Transportation Authority.

 

 

 

 

 

Renee Haley, Michigan Women's CommissionRenee Haley, Harrison, is Director of Veterans Services for Clare and Wexford Counties, and co-founder and President of the Veterans Freedom Park. She is a US Army veteran and served honorably in Desert Storm.

 

 

 

 

 

Krista Haroutunian, Michigan Women's CommissionKrista Haroutunian, Detroit, is vice president and attorney of Haroutunian Licata Haroutunian PC, and practices with Edward Haroutunian, her father, and Susan Licata Haroutunian, her mother, who is of counsel to the firm. Krista’s primary areas of practice are Estate Planning, Probate Administration, Family Law and real estate transactions. She is also Chair of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers, as well as a member of the State Bar of Michigan - Board of Commissioners.

 

 

 

Cathleen Knauf, Michigan Women's CommissionCathleen Knauf, St. Joseph, is a retired special education coordinator, with endorsements in mental/emotional impairment, pre-primary special education, and learning disabilities. She founded the SouthWest Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force. She serves on the SW Michigan ALPACT.

 

 

 

 

Janice Nearon, Michigan Women's CommissionJanice M. Nearon, St. Clair Shores, is owner/president of Nearon Consulting LLC. For thirty years she was owner/president of Chene Machine Repair & Scraping Inc. She is presently on the Social Services Board for Macomb County as well as the Martha T. Berry Medical Facility’s board.  She is treasurer of the Martha T. Berry Foundation. This is her second term on the Board of Canvassers for Macomb County. She is the former president and member of the St. Clair Shores Women’s Civic League.

 

 

Mary Templeton, Michigan Women's CommissionMary Templeton, Plymouth, is a program director with Public Sector Consultants and the executive director of Michigan Saves, a multimillion-dollar nonprofit organization managed by PSC that provides financing solutions for energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements. She is a founding member and vice president of the board of directors for the nonprofit called Advancing Women in Energy.

 

 

 

Deidre Lambert-Bounds, Commissioner, Michigan Women's CommissionDeidre Lambert-Bounds,Troy, is President of Ignite Social Media, which she joined in 2010 as Chief Operating Officer and Partner. Previously, she spent 18 years with Ignite’s sister company, Brogan & Partners Convergence Marketing, serving as director of Public Relations, Media Director, Digital Director, and permanent Managing Partner. A native Detroiter, Deidre has served on boards and committees for Habitat for Humanity of SE Michigan, ArtServe Michigan, Nataki Talibah Schoolhouse, Orchard’s Children’s Services and as an executive member of the board for the Detroit Regional Chamber. She currently serves on the executive board for the Sphinx Organization, and the advisory board of the MI Education Trust. She is a committee member for the National Council on Men and Boys and the National Council for Women and Girls. In 2013, Deidre started Daughters of Turresa (in honor of her mother) - a mentoring and empowering group supporting young women.
