Career Readiness Certificate
(MI NCRC)

Welcome to the Michigan National Career Readiness website (MI NCRC)! This portable credential, powered by WorkKeys, is a nationally recognized skills assessment tool developed by ACT, Inc. The MI NCRC verifies to employers anywhere in Michigan and the United States that an individual has core job skills that apply to work in Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information – skills that are highly important to the majority of jobs in the workplace.

The certificate offers individuals, employers, and educators an easily understood and universally valued credential that certifies the attainment of these workplace skills. In addition to the MI NCRC, individuals earn employability skills certification verifying skills in effective communication, teamwork, problem solving and critical thinking.

In Michigan’s transitioning economy, the MI NCRC meets the needs of both employers and job seekers of becoming more competitive and marketable in the global marketplace.
