The Department of Civil Service has provided an opportunity for state employees to attend a Preretirement Orientation Seminar (PRO) through an online webcast. This informational program is designed to help state employees prepare to retire. Topics covered during this session include:

Preretirement Orientation Seminars (PROs) offered by Michigan's Department of Civil Service cover topics including retirement pension options, deferred compensation, insurances, wills and estate planning, social security and Medicare. Each session includes a question and answer period.
All seminars run from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM with an hour break for lunch on your own.
You must register through your department's training or human resources office or online at the Civil Service web site.
You are welcome to bring your spouse or a guest. If you or your guest require mobility, visual, hearing or other special needs assistance for effective participation, please indicate such needs when registering.
