Nominations for the 2018 Senior Citizen of the Year Award are now being accepted

The Aging & Adult Services Agency (AASA) is now accepting nominations for the 2018 Senior Citizen of the Year Award.

The award winner will be honored at a special ceremony during Older Michiganians Day on May 16 at the State Capitol in Lansing.

Nominations are gladly accepted from businesses, community service and faith-based organizations, associations, fraternal organizations, and other public and private entities who value or work with older adult volunteers.

Residents aged 60 years or older are eligible for nomination for uncompensated work performed, especially over the past year. Nominees must be available to attend the award ceremony on May 16 in Lansing.

Please complete the nomination form and return it to Shirley Bentsen at no later than April 5. Award winners will be selected by April 30.
