The following changes in Health Care insurance were approved by the Civil Service Commission at their December 2007 meeting. These changes will become effective in FY 2008-2009 for all classified employees except those in unit T01.
State Health Plan PPO Premium -- Employee premium changed from 5% to 10%
Health Maintenance Organization Premium -- Employer premium capped at 95% up to the amount paid for the same coverage under the State Health Plan PPO
Annual Deductible -- Changed from $200 individual/$400 family to $300/$600 in-network and from $500/$1000 to $600/$1200 out-of-network
Office Visit -- Employee co-pay changed from $10 to $15
Emergency Room -- Employee co-pay of $50 if not admitted to hospital
Prescription Drug Retail -- Employee co-pay changed from $7/$15/$30 to $10/$20/$40
Prescription Drug Mail Order -- Employee co-pay changed from $7/$15/$30 to $20/$40/$80
New Prescription Drug Programs -- Generics Preferred, Drug Quantity Management, Step Therapy
