Did you know that not crossing at an intersection is the deadliest action pedestrians take prior to a crash? This accounts for 34 percent of pedestrian fatalities.
That is why MDOT is working to create better, safer roads for all users by providing a variety of services and information supporting walking and pedestrian safety.

Call for help and stay in your vehicle - for everyone's safety.
And if you really must exit the vehicle, do so carefully and move as far away from the roadway as possible.
