The statewide leadership team provides support for the local engagement system by identifying possible resources to support engagement, including technical assistance or training and proposals for funding for continuing engagement after the 2008 Poverty Summit.

• Kellogg Foundation Funds Anti-Poverty Efforts in Michigan 
Statewide efforts to combat the causes of poverty will be supported by a $120,000 grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation of Battle Creek, Mich.

Based on evalutions, participation and outcomes, the 2008 Voices for Action Poverty Summit was an incomparable success that launched a statewide effort to reduce poverty and maximize economic opportunity for all.
