- Provide structure that links regional groups to central coordinating group.
- Identification and location of central coordinating group/ function.
- Resources for coordination between regions and central group, including support for technical assistance around best practices and innovation.
- Improved government-community collaboration.
- Baseline measures for engagement among targeted sectors/groups, including identification of "self interest" that drives engagement for each target group.
- Scan of current spending and process for linking best practices to spending priorities.
- Identification of incentives related to funding innovations. Increase local capacity for innovations around poverty.
- Build public awareness campaign on summit themes.
- Link to national and other state initiatives to synthesize messaging.
- Use results of engagement evaluation to build on identified self-interests to increase public support.
Goals and Vision for Engagement Structure Post-Summit
- Network for capturing and sharing information about best practices.
- Manage process to evaluate impact of Summit and related activities on engagement of various groups around poverty issues.
- Use this information to continue to build momentum.
- Leverage resources to have greatest effect based on best practices and level of engagement.
