The DNR Parks and Recreation Division manages a vast network of Michigan’s natural resources, including 103 state parks and recreation areas spanning 300,000 acres. The division also oversees 140 state forest campgrounds, the state’s boating program and an extensive system of motorized and nonmotorized trails.
