For Employers

The Prison Build Program is a selective program providing an opportunity for inmates who desire to make a positive change in their lives, are able to work as a team, and possess the necessary skills in the building trades and horticulture career fields.

Through a unique partnership with the Department of Career Development and the Department of Labor and Economic Growth, Prison Build inmates who have a firm release date have their resumés posted for potential hire through a special program entitled "HIRE A SKILLED WORKER".

These inmates have received classroom instruction and hands-on training in the building trades and/or horticulture and landscape fields. They have been selected to participate in the Prison Build Program and are now ready to reenter society.

Please review this site, and call us at 517-241-4073 for any questions you may have on an inmate or the Prison Build Program.

We have provided a regional listing of participating Prison Build correctional facilities.  If you or your company would like to be added to a regional listing of potential employers, please let us know.
