Key Dates:  Funding allocated by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on February 25, 2009.  Funds will be available through September 30, 2010.

Program Information:  The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program enables local governments to undertake a wide range of activities intended to create suitable living environments, provide decent affordable housing and create economic opportunities, primarily for persons of low and moderate income. Under the Recovery Act, recipients shall give priority to projects that can award contracts based on bids within 120 days of the grant agreement.

Grant Information:  Funding to be distributed to entitlement communities through the formula used in fiscal year 2008.  10 percent of funds will be distributed via competitive grant through the Indian Community Development Block Grant
