Throughout the Upper Peninsula, one thing is clear: The U.P. is a remarkable place to be, of course for its natural beauty, but also for the opportunities that abound from East to West.

"Everyone knows the Upper Peninsula is famous for the great quality of life," Governor Snyder said during a stop at Boss Snowplows in Iron Mountain. "But it's also a great place for innovation, entrepreneurship and manufacturing."

Governor Snyder has been traveling across the Upper Peninsula this week, and on Wednesday and Thursday he met with local high school robotics teams and toured manufacturing companies in Gladstone, Iron Mountain and Amasa.
