Electronic Recording Commission

The Commission shall keep the standards and practices of county registers of deeds in this state in harmony with the standards and practices of offices of county registers of deeds in other jurisdictions, and keep the technology used by county registers of deeds in this state compatible with technology used by offices of county registers of deeds in other jurisdictions.

The Commission consists of 7 members: 4 county registers of deeds, 1 individual engaged in the land title profession, 1 individual engaged in the business of banking, and 1 licensed attorney whose practice emphasizes real property matters. These members serve 2 year terms. Additionally the director of the Department of Technology, Management, & Budget or his/her designee serves as a non-voting member.
