Commission on Middle-Eastern American Affairs

The Commission on Middle-Eastern American Affairs was created by Executive Order 2015-6. The Commission is housed in the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and shall act in an advisory capacity to the Governor and the Director. The 15-member Commission will work to monitor, evaluate, and prodive recommendations to the Governor and department regarding issues facing the Middle-Eastern American Community. They will also work to enhance economic opportunity, prevent discrimination, and spread awareness of Middle-Eastern American culture. The Director of the Office for New Americans will also serve as an ex officio, non-voting member of the Commission.
