Apply for State Supplemental Income?

The Social Security Administration manages the SSI program for people who are blind, disabled, or elderly with minimal other income. It served an average of 209,832 people per month in Michigan in Fiscal Year 2000. FIA pays a small supplement to all SSI recipients. Recipients of SSI are also automatically eligible for Medicaid. Applications are available at the Social Security Office in your area.
