MDOT to host public meeting regarding 2010 reconstruction of M-39 in Wayne County

WHAT: A public meeting regarding the upcoming reconstruction on 1.7 miles of northbound and southbound M-39 (Southfield Road) between Porter Street in Lincoln Park and Pinecrest Street in Allen Park.

BACKGROUND: MDOT is currently designing plans for a 1.7-mile reconstruction of northbound and southbound M-39. Included in the reconstruction project is replacement of the existing drainage system and updated pump station.

Business owners and interested residents are encouraged to stop by to provide input and review the project with MDOT staff before the design is completed. The project is expected to begin in winter 2010.
