US-41 resurfacing, turn lane construction to start in Wallace

ESTIMATED STARTING DATE: Wednesday, July 15, 2009

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: Friday, Sept. 18, 2009

PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be resurfacing 10.1 miles of US-41 between Menominee and Wallace, and widening US-41 in Wallace to accommodate a center left-turn lane.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: This work will require lane closures with flag control and traffic shifts. Motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.

CUSTOMER BENEFIT: When completed, this project will extend the pavement service life, improve ride quality, and improve safety for motorists making left turns in Wallace.
