Contact:  Rob Morosi, MDOT Office of Communications, 248-483-5127
Agency: Transportation

July 15, 2009 -- A $1.3 million investment begins today on southbound US-24 (Telegraph Road) in Redford Township. Crews will resurface the southbound side of US-24 from Plymouth to Joy roads. In addition to the resurfacing work, crews are upgrading underground sewer lines as part of the project.

In order to accommodate the resurfacing work, crews have closed the two left lanes on southbound US-24. The double-lane closures will remain in place until early September.

This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
