ADVISORY - TWB Company Monroe Plant to Receive State Award for Outstanding Safety & Health Record

July 17, 2009 - TWB Company LLC's Monroe plant will receive the CET Bronze Award for an outstanding safety and health record from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA), on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., 1600 Nadeau Rd., in Monroe.

The MIOSHA Consultation Education and Training (CET) Division recognizes the safety and health achievements of Michigan employers and employees through CET Awards, which are based on excellent safety and health performance. The CET Bronze Award recognizes leadership and commitment to workplace safety and health resulting in significant improvement of their MIOSHA record.

MIOSHA Director Doug Kalinowski will present the award to the TWB Safety Committee. Invited guests and TWB's day-shift employees will attend the award presentation.

TWB Company LLC is a joint venture between Thyssen Stahl AG and Worthington Industries. The company is based in Monroe with five locations in North America. TWB is currently the leading manufacturer of tailor welded blank products in North America.
