Agency: Natural Resources

Sept. 3, 2009

The Department of Natural Resources today announced a portion of the Denton Creek Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) Route, south of Prudenville in Roscommon County, will be temporarily closed between Boyce and Grass Lake Roads.

The temporary closure is due to a drainage improvement project funded by the ORV Trail Improvement Fund. Work began last week and is scheduled for completion on or before Sept. 30. A map indicating the closed portion is available on the Internet at www.michigan.gov/dnr.

Questions may be directed to Paige Perry, DNR trails analyst, at (989) 732-3541, ext. 5086. Information regarding other ORV/ATV riding opportunities may be found on the DNR's Web site at www.michigan.gov/dnr.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is committed to the conservation, protection, management, accessible use and enjoyment of the State's natural resources for current and future generations.
