Alma resident Tricia Hunter went the extra mile for clients and coworkers and earned an award from the Family Independence Agency.
Hunter, an information technology technician with Gratiot-Clinton Family Independence Agency, was one of 15 agency employees around the state honored for good work, teamwork and providing quality service. (Name) received the agency director's "Going the Extra Mile" award during a ceremony Dec. 14. She has worked for the FIA for 11 years.
"Tricia is dedicated to providing excellent customer service," said Family Independence Agency director Marianne Udow. "She treats customers inside and outside the agency with equal respect and dignity."
The Going the Extra Mile Program was started in 2003. Award winners were nominated by peers and/or managers and were selected through a regional process.
