October 23, 2009 -- Bad weather has led to the cancellation of a "last brick ceremony" planned by city of Houghton and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). Officials had hoped to mark the completion of the US-41 (Shelden Avenue) reconstruction project in Houghton with the ceremonial placement of a final brick paver. The project is expected to be completed by Friday, Nov. 6, weather permitting.

MDOT: Working to improve our state roads and bridges.
