Six Harrisville residents were arrested early Tuesday as a result of a three-month undercover operation by the Department of Natural Resources' Special Investigations Unit and Commercial Fish Enforcement Unit.

The six were arraigned Tuesday and charged with a total of 112 counts in 81st District Court in Alcona County, including felony firearm violations, drug charges and game and fish violations.

The suspects include:

Jeffery Joseph Sikorski, 40, who is charged with a total of 62 counts, including four counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; one count of delivery of marijuana; two counts of habitual fourth offense; six counts of hunting without a license; four counts of hunting without hunter orange; nine counts of possession of marijuana; seven counts with use of marijuana; five counts of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle; four counts of general wildlife violations; one count of carrying a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle; 14 counts of taking fish with illegal devices; three counts of fishing in a closed trout stream; and two counts of illegal sale of fish.

George John Miller, 36, who is charged with a total of 23 counts, including two counts of illegal sale of fish; 11 counts of taking fish with illegal devices; three counts of fishing in a closed trout stream; two counts of possession of marijuana; two counts of use of marijuana; one count of illegal disposal of solid waste; and two counts of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.

Stanley John Sikorski, 44, who is charged with 15 counts including two counts of delivery/manufacture of marijuana; one count of maintaining a drug house; four counts of possession of marijuana; four counts of use of marijuana; one count of carrying a loaded firearm on an off-road vehicle (ORV); 1 count each of operating an ORV on a public highway and while license is suspended; and one count of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.

Robert Stanley Clayton, 47, who is charged with a total of seven counts, including three counts of felon in possession of a firearm; one count of possession of marijuana; one count of use of marijuana; one count of carrying a loaded firearm on an ORV; and one count of general wildlife violation.

Thomas Michael Armstrong, 45, who is charged with a total of three counts, including one count of possession of marijuana; one count of use of marijuana; and one count of operating a motor vehicle while license is suspended.

Amy Lynn Staniski, 33, who is charged with one count each of possession and use of marijuana.

Search warrants were executed by DNR conservation officers from three different districts on four Alcona County residences in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Dec. 1. The conservation officers were assisted by the Michigan State Police Emergency Services Team, which helped secured two of the residences because of threats to kill officers by one of the suspects. Firearms, narcotics and evidence of fish and game violations were seized during the execution of the warrants.

Initially, DNR conservation officers were given information that several subjects in the Harrisville area were allegedly selling salmon, the majority of it taken illegally from the Harrisville harbor. Undercover DNR conservation officers infiltrated the suspect group and on several occasions purchased fish from them. The undercover investigators were with the subjects on several occasions and had opportunities to witness numerous violations including the taking of salmon with nets and gaff hooks, transporting loaded firearms in motor vehicles, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and numerous game and fish violations.

The suspects also were allegedly heavily involved in the use of narcotics throughout the investigation. Prior to closing the investigation, the undercover officers purchased marijuana from the suspects.
