Index to the Portrait Collection

The following index is a listing of the approximately 15,000 portraits of individuals available at the Archives of Michigan. The collection includes Michigan's 47 governors and other political posts such as the territorial governor, lt. governor, secretary of state, and attorney general. Other notable people in the collection include 1,347 Civil War soldier portraits, inventors, auto industry pioneers and other significant contributors to Michigan's history.
