Michigan no longer offers a
certificate for school administrators.
There is a Continuing
Education requirement that applies to those persons who have primary
responsibility for administrating institutional programming or setting
curriculum.
Within a 5-calendar-year
window from date of hire or from the last expiration date of old Administrator
certificate, 6 semester hours or 18 State Board Continuing Education Units (SB-CEUs)
must be earned.
The academic credit can be
undergraduate or graduate hours taken at in-state community colleges, approved
in-state and out-of-state institutions and approved on-line institutions.
