Job Description

 

Provides care to patients with bowel and bladder difficulties, trachestomy surgery (windpipe insertion), or gastrostomy (feeding tube insertion), special wound/skin problems and other medical problems.  Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents enterostomal patient care and educational needs according to established hospital policies. Demonstrates knowledge of correct prostheticostomy equipment and supplies.

 

 

 

 

 

Minimum Education

 

Bachelor's Nursing/Registered Nurse, a license required
