August 15, 2008 – On Monday,
August 18th, the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth (DLEG) will
announce that Macomb/ St. Clair Michigan Works! agency topped all Michigan Works! agencies in the state for placing workers in NWLB-funded training for new jobs. In the first year of the No Worker Left Behind Initiative, The Macomb / St. Clair MWA enrolled 2271
people in training and educational programs to help them prepare for jobs in Michigan's
emerging economy.
DLEG will also recognize Macomb Community
College for enrolling 430 NWLB-funded
students in training for new jobs.
