March 11, 2008 - Negaunee Post Trooper Receives 2007 Marquette County Police Officer of the Year Award

The Michigan State Police is pleased to announce that Trooper Brent A. Rosten of the Negaunee Post is the recipient of the 2007 Marquette County Police Officer of the Year Award.   Rosten was selected to receive this award by members of the Marquette County Law Enforcement Administrators Association. 

This award recognizes officers who demonstrate integrity, honesty and excellence in the pursuit of justice in their daily activities.    

Rosten enlisted with the department in 1993 and graduated as a member of the 108th Trooper Recruit School.  He has served at the Ypsilanti, L'Anse and Negaunee Posts.  He is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a degree in Criminal Justice.  Rosten recently retired from the Michigan National Guard after serving 20 years of distinguished service.  He resides in Negaunee with his wife Mary and their five children.
