Pigeon River Advisory Council to Meet Oct. 24

The Pigeon River Advisory Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at the Pigeon River County State Forest Headquarters, located at 9966 Twin Lakes Rd. in Vanderbilt. This is a new meeting date for this particular meeting. The meeting originally was scheduled for Oct. 17.

The Pigeon River Advisory Council's responsibility is to consider plans, programs and activities proposed or conducted within or affecting the Pigeon River Country, and to advise the Director of the Department of Natural Resources by written report of its views in regard to these matters. One of their primary roles is to develop public support and local cooperation for programs adopted for this unit.

The Pigeon River Advisory Council meetings are open to the public. For more information, contact Dayle Garlock at (989) 732-3541.
