PROJECT DETAILS: Reconstruction and expansion work includes replacing the 112th Avenue bridge over I-96 and widening it to four lanes, reconstructing the existing ramps, reconfiguring the Cleveland Street/Apple Drive intersection, and adding a new westbound I-96 on ramp. A new eastbound I-96 off ramp is planned for 2013. See attached PDF brochure.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: Traffic will be maintained on I-96 using single-lane closures. 112th Avenue will be closed and detoured from April 9 to August 27. Short-term nighttime freeway closures will be in place during weekend bridge removal. Ramps will be closed for realignment from mid-April to late-August.
