Design open house scheduled for M-24 project in Lapeer

WHAT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) invites the public to attend an informational meeting regarding proposed improvements on M-24 from south of I-69 to Nepessing Street, in the city of Lapeer and Lapeer Township, Lapeer County.

BACKGROUND:
In addition to road reconstruction, proposed work includes storm and sanitary sewer, water main, sidewalk and signal upgrades, culvert replacement at Farmers Creek, and pedestrian tunnel installation.

Interested residents, business owners and community representatives are invited to stop by anytime during this open house-style meeting to learn more and provide input. MDOT staff members will be available to answer questions.

The proposed project will enhance safety and access management, increase ride quality, and provide congestion relief.
